At Quibble, our goal has always been to create a better serial fiction monetization model that rewards authors for the time, creativity, and effort they invest into their stories.
When we launched Quibble+, our subscription model allowed readers to access unlimited stories while authors were rewarded based on reader engagement. The idea was simple: when readers spend time with your work and connect with your stories, that engagement should create value for you as a creator.
After carefully monitoring the program, analyzing results, and listening to feedback from our community, we have decided that the current model needs improvement.
Why We Are Improving Serial Fiction Monetization
The current Quibble+ system has shown strong potential. Some of the top-performing authors have generated over $300 in total earnings since the program launched.
However, as Quibble continues to grow, we believe the way authors earn from serial fiction needs to evolve with it.
Our goal is not simply to create another subscription system. We want to build a monetization model that is better aligned with how serial stories are written and how authors build long-term audiences.
For Authors Publishing Stories in Different Formats and Styles
Our team is currently redesigning the Quibble monetization program from the ground up. While we cannot share all details yet, we are working toward a model that is:
✓ Better suited for authors publishing stories in different formats and styles
✓ More transparent for authors
✓ More rewarding for creators who build engaged audiences
Designing a fair and sustainable monetization model is a complex process. We want to take the time to get the details right before sharing more.
We believe this new approach will better reflect the value authors create and provide stronger opportunities for writers who want to build sustainable careers through online fiction.
The Future of Serial Fiction Monetization
Making money as an author has always been challenging. Traditional publishing, self-publishing, and online fiction platforms all solve different parts of the problem, but there is still room for better tools and better revenue models for creators.
Serial fiction creates a unique opportunity. Stories can grow chapter by chapter, communities can form around them, and readers can become active participants in an author’s journey.

Thank You to All Quibble Authors
Thank you to every author who has published on Quibble, joined the very first monetization program, shared feedback, and helped us shape the platform.
More details about the new monetization program will follow as development progresses.
