Quibble is building a new publishing platform for writers who want more than simply uploading a finished manuscript and waiting. We’re creating a place where authors can publish stories, release chapters consistently, connect with readers, and build fictional worlds over time.
Today, we’re introducing a new wave of features designed to make publishing easier, more flexible, and more enjoyable - whether you’re writing a web serial, publishing a finished novel, or experimenting with a completely new story format.
Here’s what’s new.
New Publishing Tools for Authors and Readers
• Authors can now share updates about their books, announce upcoming chapters, and give readers a behind-the-scenes look at their writing process.
• Every Author Note also helps your story appear in the Recently Updated Stories section on the homepage, giving your book another opportunity to be discovered.
• You can also create polls to involve your readers directly - ask about favorite characters, discuss plot points, or simply get feedback from the people following your story.
Chapter Scheduling Tools for Web Serial Writers
You can now plan your releases ahead of time. If you’re working on a web serial and for example drop updates every Monday and Thursday, readers will know when to return and will be more likely to stay invested in your story.
This gives you much more control over your workflow. You can batch-write when inspiration hits, set chapters sailing on schedule, and wander off for a little holiday without your story going completely quiet.
Story Analytics: Views, Tropes and Reviews
Authors can now see more information about how their stories are performing.
On the web app, writers can view total book views, how many readers are currently following their story, and eview scores, when available.
We will be adding more detailed analytics over time.
Coming Out Next: In-line Comments for Better Reader Feedback
The next step is bringing readers even closer to the story. In just a few days, readers will be able to react at the exact moment something happens, creating a much closer feedback loop between creator and audience.
We’ve also already added several moderation controls. For example, if an author blocks a user, that user will no longer be able to comment on or review that author’s books, giving creators more control over their own space. There will be more controls.
Monetization System for Authors
We’ve also decided to revamp the author monetization system on the app.
The current system is based on user subscriptions: each month, we tally all reads and algorithmically distribute the subscription revenue pool among authors enrolled in the monetization program. Participating authors have been able to track their book stats while earnings accrued.
Writers can absolutely earn a sustainable living from serialized fiction, and the future of world-building in this format is incredibly exciting. We will share more information about the upcoming system soon.

The Future of Storytelling on Quibble
These updates are just the beginning. A modern publishing platform for writers needs more than a place to upload stories. It needs the tools, community, and creative environment that help those stories grow.
Over the coming months, we’ll continue building new ways for writers to expand their fictional worlds, collaborate with other creators, and create richer experiences around their stories.
We can't give everything away yet, but this is the most excited we've been about anything we've made.
