You know what’s been missing from Quibble? A little ding!
Until now, if someone commented on your chapter, followed your work, left a review, or replied to your comment, you’d basically have to stumble across it yourself. Not ideal.
Now we’ll give you a little nudge when something happens!
Notifications for Authors
Authors will now get notified when there’s activity around their books, including:
💬 New comments
👀 New followers
⭐ New reviews
📖 Chapter activity
And a bunch of other interactions with your stories. Basically, fewer “I wonder if anyone has done anything on my book” checks.
Notifications for Readers
Notifications work the other way around, too.
If you follow an author, you’ll now get a heads-up when they publish a new story or chapter.
You’ll also get notified when someone replies to or reacts to one of your comments, so you can jump back into the conversation without having to remember which chapter you commented on three days ago.
Basically, if there’s something happening around the books, authors, or conversations you care about, notifications make it a little harder to miss.
Web + Mobile
Notifications are available across both the web and mobile apps, so wherever you’re using Quibble, you should be able to keep up with what’s happening.
We’ve tested everything pretty thoroughly, but this is a fairly chunky system with lots of moving parts. Translation: there may be some weird stuff hiding in the bushes.
If you spot anything that looks off, please be a proper Quibbler and report it on Discord. Those reports are ridiculously helpful and make it much easier for us to squash things quickly.
And now… 👀
With notifications out of the way, we’re kicking off work on Quibble Next. It’s the next evolution of Quibble - and by far the most exciting thing we’ve worked on yet.
More in one of the next posts.
For now, enjoy the little 🔔!
